What it does

  • Bank and country for premium accounts
  • In-browser Luhn check on the full number
  • Only the first 6–8 digits (BIN) are sent to the server

  2. 2The Luhn check runs locally in your browser.
  3. 3Look up the BIN to see scheme, type and brand.
  4. 4Premium accounts also see bank and country.

Frequently asked questions

Does my full card number leave my browser?
No. The Luhn check runs locally, and only the first 6–8 digits (the BIN) are sent to our server — never the full number.
Does a BIN lookup authorize or charge the card?
No. It only identifies card metadata from the BIN and can run a local Luhn check on a full number. It does not contact the issuer or process a payment.
What is a BIN?
The Bank Identification Number — the first 6–8 digits of a card number that identify the issuing scheme, type and brand.
