About habit tracking
Small daily wins compound. Tick a habit each day to grow its streak; miss a day and the current streak resets, but your best streak is remembered. Data lives in your browser’s local storage on this device only — no account and no cloud.
How to use Habit Tracker
- 1Enter a habit name and add it to the tracker.
- 2Mark each habit complete for any of the displayed last seven days.
- 3Review current and best streaks, or remove habits you no longer track.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the current streak calculated?
- It counts consecutive completed days ending today. If today is not complete yet but yesterday is, the current streak can end yesterday instead of dropping immediately to zero.
- How is the best streak calculated?
- It scans all stored completed dates for that habit and finds the longest run of consecutive local calendar days.
- Can I mark dates older than seven days?
- Not through the current interface. It displays and edits only the last seven days, although older completion records remain stored for best-streak calculations.
- Does the tracker sync across devices?
- No. Habits and completion dates are stored in this browser’s localStorage.
