About prayer time calculation

Islamic prayer times depend on the sun’s position at your location, so they shift with latitude and date. Different authorities use slightly different sun-angle conventions (calculation methods), and the Asr time differs between the standard and Hanafi opinions. This tool computes times entirely on your device from your coordinates — no server or API is involved. Verify against your local mosque for the authoritative schedule.

How to use Prayer Times Calculator

  1. 1Enter valid latitude and longitude, or allow the browser to fill them from your device location.
  2. 2Choose the date, calculation method, and the standard or Hanafi Asr setting.
  3. 3Review Fajr, sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha; today’s next prayer is marked when applicable.

Frequently asked questions

Why do prayer-time calculation methods differ?
Authorities use different solar angles or fixed intervals for Fajr and Isha. Choose the method followed by your local mosque or authority.
What does the Asr madhab option change?
It changes the shadow-length rule used to calculate Asr. The standard option follows the Shafiʿi, Maliki, and Hanbali convention; the Hanafi option uses the Hanafi convention.
Is my device location sent to Leviro?
No. The browser supplies coordinates to the page and the prayer-time library calculates locally. You can also enter coordinates manually instead of granting permission.
Should I rely on these times for an official schedule?
Use them as calculated times and verify the selected method and local adjustments with your mosque or relevant authority.
